Your IPv6 questions, answered
Does it work behind CG-NAT?
Often, yes: WireGuard initiates outbound UDP. Your ISP and firewall must allow it. Not every device or network is compatible.
Will it improve my ping?
Not necessarily. A tunnel can add latency. Measure the path to Toronto and Montréal before choosing.
What is the difference between /64 and /56?
A /64 suits one network. A /56 contains 256 /64 subnets, useful for multiple LANs.
What happens after the allowance?
The ceiling drops to 10 Mbit/s. Inbound and outbound traffic are added, with no automatic overage charges.
Will every IPv4 application work?
The standard profile keeps your existing IPv4 connection. Optional NAT64/DNS64 is for IPv6-only networks and is not compatible with every IPv4 application.
Can I send email over SMTP?
SMTP is not allowed on standard tunnels: TCP 25, 465, 587 and 2525 are blocked in both directions, including NAT64. Exceptions require separate written approval.
What support is included?
Email support in English and French. No guaranteed response time, uptime SLA or 24/7 staffed support is included.
